How Cross Exchange was born:

Early 2000's

Going way back to the very beginning, sibling co-founders Trent and Bethany surrendered their lives to Christ at a young age.

Trent & Bethany grew up outdoors, chasing adventure, and with a desire to someday travel & see the world.

2018

Trent began serving in the US Air Force.

He hoped he would be able to travel the world during his service, but was kept stateside throughout his enlistment.

2022

Trent graduated from Liberty with his undergrad degree and completed his contract with the Air Force, and he still had an itching to travel and chase new experiences around the world.

He packed his bags and said, "It's now or never!"

2023

Over the course of a year, Trent traveled to 22 countries all over the world, predominantly through work exchange platforms.

His most transformative experiences and deepest connections were made during stays at several Christian host homes.

The idea of Cross Exchange was born: What if there was a work exchange platform that could provide unique, safe travel experiences where travelers could stay with Christian hosts and do hands-on mission work for a fraction of the cost of traditional short-term mission trips?

Trent shared his vision with his sister Bethany, and it wasn't long until his dream became their shared dream.

Bethany graduated with her degree in Graphic Design from Dallas Baptist University.

2024

Trent graduated with his masters in Business Data Analytics from Pepperdine University.

The sibling duo who share a lifelong bond realized that their complimentary skillsets made the perfect team to turn the idea of Cross Exchange into a reality.

Some long work days accompanied by plenty of prayer later, Cross Exchange was born!

Count me in for surfing, spikeball, and spending quality time with my friends & family outdoors! And after the games, I'm hosting a dinner party!

Foundation of Faith

Cross Exchange was built by Christians and is run by Christians. Our team affirms the Cross Exchange Statement of Faith, and we seek to use our platform to glorify God in every way possible. Our platform is not tied to one denomination, rather, we seek to bring Christians from different backgrounds together to foster greater cross-cultural understanding and unity.
